How it works
Three ways to monitor — one extension

Choose the mode that fits the page: one visible value, a repeating list, or a longer content section.

🎯
Monitor a value
Select a visible price, status, temperature, availability label, or counter. Page Alert compares the latest detected value with the saved value.
📋
Monitor a list
Set your filters, choose Monitor list manually, and select two different items from the same results list. Page Alert watches for confirmed additions and removals.
🧠
Smart Content Block (AI)
Choose Monitor Smart manually and click the main heading or title. Page Alert identifies a related content block and summarizes important detected changes.

Smart Content Block
Not just "something changed."
What changed — and how.
🎯
Click the main heading. Page Alert monitors the related block.
Choose Monitor Smart manually, then click a clear main heading or title. Page Alert identifies a related content block when a reliable match can be found.
📋
Catches several changes at once
A single update can change several things — such as a deadline, budget, requirements, or benefits. Smart can highlight several important differences in one summary.
💬
Plain language. No noise.
Instead of a raw diff or wall of text, Page Alert provides a short summary in the extension language.
AI only in Smart mode
Prices, temperatures, availability, counters, and status values use rules without consuming AI credits. AI is reserved for Smart Content Block alerts.

📋

Monitor List

Monitor additions and removals in a repeating list of results.

Best for: jobs, automotive listings, homes, products, classifieds, news, tenders, and other result pages.
How to create a list alert
  1. Open the webpage containing the list you want to monitor.
  2. Open Page Alert and choose Monitor list manually.
  3. Click the first list item, then click a different item from the same list.
  4. Check the preview, name the alert, and save it.
  5. Page Alert will notify you when items are added or removed.
Example notification
3 new automotive listings were added. 1 previous listing was removed.
🧠

Smart Content Block

Monitor a longer content block and receive a short explanation of what changed.

Best for: job offers, announcements, articles, regulations, tenders, terms, and longer document sections.
How to create a Smart alert
  1. Open the page containing the information you want to follow.
  2. Open Page Alert and choose Monitor Smart manually.
  3. Click the main heading or title. Page Alert then identifies the related content block.
  4. Check the preview, name the alert, and save it.
  5. When the content changes, Page Alert will summarize the important differences.
Example notification
Salary increased, remote work was added, and the application deadline moved to July 20.
⚠️ Avoid duplicate alerts. Do not save both Monitor List and Smart for the same content unless you intentionally want two separate notifications.

Chrome notifications
Page Alert checks in the background while Chrome is running and sends a notification when it detects a change.
Works on modern websites
Page Alert reads the rendered page in Chrome, including many JavaScript-heavy shops, portals, trackers, and web apps.
🔒
Privacy by design
No account, no advertising profile, and no personal data sold. Alert data is stored mainly in Chrome; selected excerpts are sent externally only when Smart is used.

FAQ
Common questions
Page Alert works on many public websites, including JavaScript-heavy shops, job boards, portals, trackers, and government pages. Pages behind login, CAPTCHA, paywalls, or anti-bot protection may not work reliably. Page Alert opens a temporary background tab to read the selected element.
No — Page Alert uses Chrome Alarms, which require Chrome to be running. The extension checks in the background as long as Chrome is open.
Monitor List is for repeating results such as jobs, apartments, cars, products, news, or tenders. Choose Monitor list manually, click the first list item and then a different item from the same list, check the preview, and save the alert. Page Alert then watches the list and notifies you after repeated checks confirm that an item was added or removed.
Smart Content Block is for longer content where meaning matters — a job offer, tender, announcement, article, regulation, or document section. Choose Monitor Smart manually and click the main heading or title. Page Alert identifies a related content block and provides a short summary when an important change is detected.
When Smart detects a change, Page Alert sends selected content excerpts to its backend. The backend may create a rule-based summary or use the Anthropic API for interpretation. Ordinary prices, temperatures, availability, counters, and status changes do not consume AI credits. Trial includes 2 shared Smart summaries total; Premium includes 150 successful Smart summaries for each 30-day license period. AI summaries may be wrong, so verify important information on the original page.
Free alerts use a fixed 60-minute interval. Trial and Premium users can choose 15, 30, or 60 minutes per alert. Checks run while Chrome is running and may be delayed by Chrome's scheduler, sleep mode, or network conditions.
Page Alert requires no account and creates no advertising profile. Alert data is stored mainly in Chrome. After you choose “Connect and sync”, alert URLs, selectors, labels, status, short comparison values or list titles, and change messages are synchronized through the Page Alert backend and a PostgreSQL database. Selected excerpts may be sent externally for Smart analysis, and public page URLs and selectors may be processed for backend-assisted or remote checks. License, Trial, Stripe session, AI-usage, device, session, push, and synchronization records are stored through the backend. For full details, see the Privacy Policy.
Page Alert returns to Free. Your alert configurations are not deleted: up to 3 non-Smart alerts remain active, while Smart alerts and additional alerts are paused. Export includes active and paused alerts. While more than 3 alerts remain saved in Free, another paused alert cannot be resumed.
In Free, deleting an alert starts a 5-hour replacement cooldown before the freed slot can be used again. The cooldown applies only to replacing a deleted Free alert.
Premium is a one-time 30-day purchase handled by Stripe; it does not renew automatically. The 30-day period starts after successful payment when the license key is issued. Save the key shown on the confirmation page before closing it. The same key can be entered on another Chrome installation, but the original expiry date and shared 150-summary allowance do not reset.
Yes. A Premium key can be entered on any Chrome installation. It remains valid until its original 30-day expiry. A Trial key can also be reused on another device, but all devices share the same 7-day period and the same 2 AI credits — activating elsewhere never resets the clock.
