What the mobile app does

A practical companion to the Chrome extension

The extension remains the main tool for creating alerts and selecting webpage content. The mobile app helps you stay connected to those alerts away from the computer.

🔔

Phone notifications

Receive concrete change notifications on your phone. Enable or disable notifications directly in the app.

📋

Alerts and history

View synchronized alerts, open their source pages, and review the latest change history. History is limited to 100 entries and can be cleared.

Remote checks

When Chrome is offline, supported public pages can be checked manually from the phone after the alert interval has elapsed.

Some websites require the Chrome extension because they block server access, require login, or load content dynamically.

Quick actions

When the extension is online, pause, resume, or delete alerts from the phone without returning to the computer.

🔄

Shared status

Alert status, recent changes, and connected-device information stay synchronized between Chrome and the mobile app.

🔐

No account login

No email address or password is required. The mobile app connects to your extension using a one-time pairing code.

How it works

From Chrome to your phone in four steps

1

Install the extension

Add Page Alert to Chrome and create the webpage alerts you want to monitor.

2

Open the mobile app

Open the Page Alert mobile app in your phone browser or install it on the home screen.

3

Pair with a code

On the computer, open Page Alert settings and generate a pairing code. Enter that code on the phone. It is valid for 10 minutes.

4

Enable notifications

Use the Enable notifications button in the app. You can disable them later with the same control.

Pair the extension with your phone

Generate the code on the computer. Enter it on the phone.

The code connects the mobile app to your existing Page Alert alerts. You do not create the alerts again on the phone.

What the mobile app does not replace

Chrome remains the monitoring engine

Chrome is still used to create alerts

Selecting page elements, creating new alerts, and monitoring pages that require a rendered browser session remain extension tasks.

  • Pages requiring login or cookies
  • Pages blocking server access
  • Some JavaScript-heavy or dynamically rendered pages

Remote checks work where the page allows them

When the extension is offline, the app can manually check supported public pages. Each alert keeps its configured 15, 30, or 60 minute interval, shared between Chrome and the mobile app.

  • Concrete value changes are shown when possible
  • Unsupported pages clearly report that Chrome is required
  • Manual checks do not run more frequently than the alert interval
🔐

Designed without an account login

No email address or password is required. Pairing uses a short one-time code. Only alert settings and short values needed to display alerts and compare supported changes are synchronized with the mobile service.

Take Page Alert with you
